It’s time for the Picket Fence Studios and WOW! Embossing two day collaboration blog hop! Today is Day 2, and I have all the prize and stop details at the end of this post.
I am creating using the gorgeous Barberton Daisy from Picket Fence Studios – it just called to me! I stamped it with WOW! Embossing ink onto Bristol Smooth cardstock, and then heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Platinum embossing powder, which is a nice warm silvery color.
I used a variety of yellow and orange shades of my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color in the petals, staring with the middle color, blending out to the palest color (no water, just blending the colors together using the brush nibs – these works really well on Bristol Smooth). I then went in with the darker color to add contrast, and pulled it out again slightly with the paler color. I used olive and light green on the stem and leaves.
I wanted my card base to be quite rustic so used Spicy Yoghurt for my base, and stamped the sentiment from the PFS set in Versafine Clair Pinecone (a dark brown). I fussy cut out the daisy, and popped it up from the top with foam squares. As a finishing touch I added some orange Nuvo Crystal Drops.
