Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re off to a good start this week and enjoyed weekend. It was too hot for me this. weekend over 90F – too much for this northern english girl!) so I spent it crafting in my AC craft room!

Today’s post is part of a blog hop featuring the brand new Craft-a-Flower from Altenew – this month is the Peruvian Lily – its super delicate and very true to a real life lily don’t you think! You can start the hop over on the Altenew blog if you didn’t land here from Therese’s blog.

I thought the lily was so pretty, I wanted create several of them. I decided to create three and fan them out on a landscape card. I used gradient cardstock to create the lilies, using the Cherry Blossom set mainly, but a little dark from the Red Cosmos set and layered them up following the guide on the packet to help. I also used some gold mirror cardstock for the stamens.

For my background, I dry embossed the Charming Mandala folder half off the edge of an A2 panel of gray cardstock. I also highlighted the raised edges by lightly brushing Antique Gold ink over the top. I adhered the Peruvian Lily to the dry embossed area with foam squares and then trimmed around the gray panel so only the embossed part showed towards the bottom. I then adhered it to a white landscape notecard, leaving a small border.

For the sentiment, I layered up the Fancy Kisses die cut twice from gold mirror cardstock and some more of the Cherry Blossom cardstock, leaving the gold peeping out, then popped it up on top of the flowers. I finished with a sentiment from the Majestic Bouquet stamp set, stamped in Obsidian ink.
