Good morning all! Welcome to the Craft-A-Flower blog hop from Altenew for March! This month the floral is a beautiful Antique Rose. It’s a gorgeous large bloom, and super simple to put together to create an amazing 3D looking rose.

Today’s hop starts over on the Altenew blog, and all of the hops on the stop can be found at the end of this post, as well as details of a giveaway.

I created my my card by die cutting the Antique Rose twice using card scraps from my scrap drawer. Craft-A-Flowers are perfect for using up scraps (including white cardstock scraps that you can ink up!). I also die cut several of the leaf layers to create three layered leaves and three of the plain leaves. You’ll see those have an outline that doesn’t cut – you can actually use it to either stencil detail onto the leaves or dry emboss like I did. Simply die cut first, then run leave the die cut in the die and run through with an embossing mat instead of a plate.

My background is a panel of Spicy Yoghurt cardstock, dry embossed with the Rows of Squares embossing folder. I mounted the leaves and roses with different layers of foam squares for dimension onto the dry embossed panel and then splattered it with Frosty Pink Metallic Shimmer Ink Spray. The sentiment is from the Block Sentiment set, stamped in Obsidian ink, and trimmed out. I scattered a few pink sequins to finish.
