Hi Everyone!

It’s time for the monthly Clubs inspiration hop hosted by Spellbinders-FSJ! You should have landed here from Ilina’s blog. Of course I’m using the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month which for November, features the word ‘Merry’ spelled out in Christmas ornaments – a fabulous focal point for a card!

This time, I went with a tried and true color combo – navy and gold. I used cotton Navy Letterpress cardstock (my favorite for glimmering) and Matte Gold Glimmer Hot Foil and glimmered the large ornaments plate and the sub-sentiment from the club kit. I then die cut them out with the coordinating edge die, and a Spellbinders frame die from an earlier set.

I used the new Spellbinders Quick Trimmer (pictured) to trim my foil to the exact size I needed. This is a brand new tool released from Spellbinders, and enables you to trim foil and cardstock down to thin strips!

I used a panel of patterned paper from the Sparkling Holidays Club Card Kit (a kit from 2019 that Spellbinders has re-released) trimmed to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and adhered to a panel of white cardstock. I mounted the die cut ‘Merry’ with foam tape to the top of the paper, as well as a few snowflake diecuts from the same Card Kit. Where they overlapped the edge, I trimmed them off. I also mounted the sub-sentiment with a foam strip, then popped the entire piece onto a note card.
