Hi Everyone!

It’s time for the November Twinkle and Shine release from Altenew!! You should have arrived here from Nathalie’s blog. I so grateful that Altenew invited me back to guest design for them – the release includes more EMBOSSING FOLDERS WOOOOOOOO! My favorite craft supply other than stencils. So exciting! There’s also an exciting new product – Altenew’s very own Fineliners – great for adding extra detail to your stamped images or contrast in those nooks in your coloring!

I have few projects to share today with some of my favorite supplies from the new release, but I made a LOT more which I will be sharing over the next few days as well. We have a blog hop happening, starting over on the Altenew Blog, and of course, stay tuned for giveaways!

My first card features the new Pen Sketched Silhouettes stamp set – this coordinates with the Pen Sketched Flowers stamp set which I love. Unlike the the PSF set, this one is all solid and perfect for one of my favorite techniques – faux watercolor! I used a panel of watercolor cardstock, and arranged the Silhouette floral stamps on the panel. I inked them up in the lighter ink (Peach Perfect) and then added some edging with Cotton Candy. I then spritzed the stamps with a Ranger mini mister and stamped them down. Lifting up, this gives a gorgeous blended faux watercolor look.

I repeated this with the leaves using Dew Drops ink then edged with Cloudy Sky. A simple stamped sentiment in Obsidian Pigment ink and a few sequins finishes the look.

My next card uses the Eucalyptus Jar stamp set. I wanted to try and use it in a different way to expected, so used a large acrylic block to stamp just the leaves from the main image, in Obsidian Black ink, all around the panel of an A2 piece of Moonrock cardstock.

I used the Coral Berry Shimmer Spray and flicked on some splatters onto my panel. For the sentiment, I stamped the ‘I Love You’ sentiment from the set, stamped in Coral Berry Mixed Media ink, then heat embossed (Mixed Media ink stays wet longer) in Translucent embossing powder. I trimmed it out and popped it into the middle of my panel. Super clean and simple!

My next card uses the new Perfect Poinsettias 3D embossing folder. I swiped Velvet ink over the embossing folder on the inside before running it through my die cutting. machine with a panel of Solar White cardstock. The ink impresses into the cardstock and embosses at the same time giving a gorgeous look.

I kept the card pretty clean and simple again, with some shimmer spray for sparkle, and then die cut the Fancy Peace die from glossy black cardstock and mounted it on red fun foam. I added black Nuvo drops for the centers of the pointsettias to finish.

My final card today features some detailing using the new Fine Liners along with the Eucalyptus Jar stamp set, die and mask. I first created my background, by stamping the Birch Trees onto gray cardstock with Dark Night ink. I then stamped the main image from the Eucalyptus Jar in Permanent Black and colored the leaves using Copic Markers. You can see, I added a lot of extra vein details onto the leaves.

On the jar itself, I overlaid the coordinating mask stencil and then ink blended Dark Night ink and Persian Blue. Before lifting the stencil, I added splatters with white acrylic paint and shimmer spray – trying to go for almost a fireflies in a jar look. I then lifted the stencil and die cut out, popping onto my birch trees panel with foam tape. I stamped and trimmed out the sentiment, and scatted a few gemstones to finish.
