Hi Everyone!

I’m thrilled to once again be joining the fabulous Michelle Lupton as part of her yearly Christmas Card series. This year is a little different – we’re CASE’ing each others cards (Copy And Share Everything) – any cards – and making them Christmassy. You can find Michelle’s post CASE’ing one of my cards here.

For my card, I decided to CASE THIS CARD by Michelle. I just loved the ink blended color combo, plus I’m a technique gal at heart, so the fact that it is stamped with water grabbed me.

I started with an 80lb A2 sized panel of Neenah Solar White and ink blended Distress Oxide inks from Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry Wilted Violet using my Waffleflower Mini Water Media Mat (great for keeping the cardstock in place without using your fingers and getting finger prints). I made sure to lightly overlap each color for a smooth blend.

Using my MISTI, I stamped the Pinkfresh Studio Merry Little Christmas cling stamp with just water. I simply spritzed the stamp with a mini mister a couple of times and then stamped the image down onto the ink blended panel. I held it there a few seconds, lifted it up and then repeated. I then dried with my heat tool and the image magically appears!

I kept the stamp in the MISTI and shifted the cardstock just a tiny bit. I removed the border of the stamp, inked up the sentiment only, using Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment ink and stamped it directly over the waterstamping. It leaves a great bold sentiment that looks like it has a shadow!

All I simply had to do was adhere the panel to a notecard and then I just had to add a few Pinkfresh Studio jewels to match the card colors!

Thank you so much to Machelle for having me along for her fun Christmas series again – I’m heading on over to her blog now to see what she came up with!
