Hi Everyone!

It’s that time of the month where Spellbinders hosts a blog hop showcasing the month’s kits and giving you lovely crafty people some more project inspiration now you probably have your hands on your kits. It’s no secret that I simply LOVED the September Glimmer of the Month. THAT RAINBOW! And it seems a lot of you did too! I’m back to share another project that looks a little different from my last as part of today’s hop.

Of course there is a giveaway so stay tuned for details and the next stop on the hop!

To create my card I first made the background. I took a panel of sky blue textured cardstock (from an older Spellbinders card kit) and adhered several clouds die cutting using the kit die from white cardstock. I used different layers of foam tape to create a semi random, dimensional ‘sky’. I trimmed off the excess clouds from the edge, and then added some Antique Gold spray splatters to co-ordinate with my foiling.

My rainbow was hotfoiled onto Cotton Letterpress white cardstock using Matte Gold Glimmer Foil. Before foiling, scribbled a few Copics onto the cardstock, blending them together. I used Y00, YR00, RV52, and R12. To foil, I inserted the arches from the rainbow into the hot foil plate rainbow outline and foiled it all in one go. I then die cut it out – but left the arches in the outline. I just love the soft blended look this gives! I popped the rainbow up over the clouds with more foam squares.

My sentiment was foiled in the same way using the left over scribble scrap to create a pretty, ombre sentiment. I then trimmed it out, popped it up with a slight bend to create an arch, and added a few iridescent crystals to finish.
