Hi Everyone!
It’s time for a new release from Alex Syberia Design! Once again Alex has knocked it out of the park with her beautiful florals, and this time there are some amazing Japanese Kokeshi dolls! So unique! A few of us are having a blog hop to celebrate – and there are PRIZES! Stay tuned for details.
I chose to paint the Full Bloom image – I arranged it using PhotoShop by duplicating and rotating the image, then printed it onto a panel of 4.25″ x 5.5″ of watercolor cardstock (I used Arches Coldpress).
I used my Altenew Artists Watercolors pan and painted the florals. I created depth by layoring colors, leaving some of it peeping out in each subsequent layer. I also added white splatters with acrylic white paint, as well as a few darker splatters to add an artsy look.
When it was dry, I trimmed it out and popped it on a cardbase. My sentiment was created using the Gina K Designs Hello die cut, adhered to a Taylored Expressions Simple Sentiment Strip die cut from black cardstock heat embossed in silver. When the glue was dry I popped the entire piece onto the florals with foam tape. To finish I added a few Nuvo Iridescent gems!
