I have three cards to share today. My first features an amazing stamp by AALL &. Create called ‘Blooming Poppies’ and it’s giant. I only used a small part of the main stamp image and it still covers the entirety of an A2 size card!

I stamped the main image in black on coldpress water color cardstock in black ink, and watercolored it with my Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers. I did several layers, building up the intensity of the color and layering different colors, before adding some Stabilo 88 fine point in the nooks and crannies for dimension. I also added some water splatters as a quick way to add highlights. I then fussy cut it out and went around it with a black marker.

For my card base, I blended some aqua-green-teal inks (Altenew Crisp Dye Seashore oval ink set) onto a panel of white cardstock to create an ombre look. I also added some splatters of PaperArtsy white acrylic paint mixed with water and splattered it on with a brush. I adhered the fussy cut flowers to the panel with foam tape.

The sentiment is also from Blooming Poppies, and was heat embossed in white on black cardstock, cut out and popped up on a double layer of foam tape. I added a few Dream Drops in Cloud 9 to finish.

My next two cards are a two for one! They were created using the Paper Rose Studio Mandala stencil. I first laid it down on a panel of white cardstock and ink blended over the top using pink, teal and lime green inks, overlapping slightly. Before lifting the stencil, I spritzed a few times with a shimmer spray to give a subtle shimmer.

I lifted up the stencil and let the piece dry. My sentiment is from the fab Heffy Doodle Rounded Sentiments. These are perfectly arched (some bowed up and some bowed down) and fit exactly onto the Heffy Doodle Curved Banner Die. I heat embossed two sentiments in Metallic Silver embossing powder onto gray cardstock, die cut them out and then popped them onto the panel around the centre of the mandala.

My last card was kind of a freebie – I took the Mandala stencil that was still wet with ink blended ink and shimmer spray and gave it one more spritz, then pressed it onto another panel of white cardstock, rubbing it all over to transfer the color and shimmer onto the panel. I then just had to stamp this sentiment in black ink over the top for a pretty, clean and simple one layer card.
