Hi Everyone!

I’m so excited to be joining you today as part of a blog hop showcasing the new Puddle Jumpers patterned paper release from Finders Keepers. The full list of stops on the hop is at the bottom of this post and details on PRIZZZZES!

I created three cards for the hop using almost entirely just the paper to show you how versatile patterned paper is. I also threw in a couple of the stickers in the set!

For my first card I kept it super simple. I used the grey rain paper and adhered it to a panel of card stock to make it a little more sturdy. I . then used a selection of the flag stickers popped up on foam squares and added then down the right hand side.

There’s no stamping on this card – all of the sentiments are pulled from the sticker sheet and popped up on foam strip, including the Y, O and U. I thought it would be nice to create my own focal sentiment. As a finishing touch I added co-ordinating colors of Nuvo Drops for a little embellishment.

For my next card, I introduced a little bit of fussy cutting and die cutting. I started off with a panel of textured pink Bazzill cardstock trimmed to A2 size. I then trimmed the umbrella paper to the same size and die cut it with a border die from Pretty Pink Posh about a third of the way up. I adhered . it to panel of cardstock with foam tape.

I then fussy cut out (including a bit of craft knife work on the legs) the girl with the umbrella, and popped her up on foam tape – the little bit of the umbrella that was overhanging I trimmed off. I added a Nuvo Drop to the centre of her umbrella also. The sentiment is a sticker from the set which I adhered to white cardstock and trimmed out leaving a border, then popped up on foam tape as well – lots of dimension on this card, and I’m loving the soft colors!

For my final card, I just had to use the dark and stormy umbrella paper. I first trimmed out an A2 size panel, and then cut out one of the umbrellas using a craft knife. I backed the window with acetate and then went all around the other side of the window with a double layer of foam tape.

I added sequins to create a shaker card – I used the Catherine Pooler Bourbon Street collection as the colors really went well with the image. I then backed it onto a white note card. My sentiment was created in the same way as before and added a couple more sequins to the front. As a finishing touch I drew back in the lines on the umbrella with a black Sharpie.

What do you think?! The hoppers have come up with some other fabulous ideas so be sure to hop along!
