Hi everyone! Today is finally the time for the new Pinkfresh Studio October release, and this one is AHH-MAAAZE-ING. I was skipping round the room when I got my first peek at this release. If you like creating slimeline cards, you are going to LOVE this release. My stop is part of a blog hop, so stay tuned for the hop list and details on a giveaway

The release features slim line card stencils, stamps and dies. These are sized perfectly to cover all of a slimline card, and really create that wow factor! I had to create an extra long shaker for my first card (which is SO fun to shake over all that space!). I started off by using the Simple Plaid Layering Stencil. This is a two layer stencil to create a plaid look with some ink blending – I used Ocean Breeze for the first layer, and Soft Lilac ink for the second, gently. blending to create a translucent feel. I also splattered some gold ink over my stencilling to add shine.

I used an A4 sheet of 80lb Neenah Solar White without cutting it to do my stenciling then trimmed out the piece leaving a white border. My panel ended up measuring 4.25″. wide by 9.25″ tall. This can be adhered to a 110lb note card made from A4 panel with 1.5″ trimmed off the end and folded lengthways at the 4.25″ .

The stamp I used is the Incredibly Grateful Stamp and coordinating die. The die is in two parts and can be used to create a beautiful border. There is also a coordinating stencil that can be used to color in the images easily.

A tip for using some of these stamps: they are extra tall, and so something big to stamp them down is helpful – I used a Memory Misti but you don’t have to. Pinkfresh has teamed up with My Sweet Petunia to offer you 20% off the Memory MISTI -Use code PINK for coupon code, good through October 22, 2020 11:59 PM CD. If you can’t get a MISTI this size, you can use a large flat block or platter… get creative! (Obviously the MISTI has the added benefit to perfectly align your stamp).

This image is stamped in black ink on white cardstock. I decided to keep it simple and not color it with the stencil. A tip for using this stamp – die cut the outer die first, then stamp, then use the inner die to line it up perfectly.

I added acetate and a double layer of foam tape behind the border to create a shaker. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the plaid panel in black ink, added some PFS Essentials: Crystals in pale blue, lilac and clear onto the panel then popped my shaker frame over the top!!

For my next card, I dry embossed the detailed plaid stencil onto a panel of navy card stock. I did this by using the stencil-cardstock-tan mat-embossing plate sandwich in my die cutting machine. As the stencil is so long, I ran it in half way, then pulled it back out, flipped it and ran it half way again. This avoids a hard embossed line on the panel. I trimmed down the panel to 9″ x 4″ and then added gold splatters before mounting to a white notecard cut the same as before, leaving a white border.

I heat embossed the gorgeous You Are My Favorite stamp set in gold embossing powder on the navy cardstock. I then placed the You Are My Favorite coordinating stencil (the layer. with the blooms) over the top and secured in place. I added some Licorice ink blended over the blooms to darken them slightly, and then flicked white acrylic paint, and shimmer spray over the top. I removed the stencil and also colored in the leaves with a gold shimmer pen before die cutting out with the coordinating die.

I adhered the image to the dry embossed panel with foam squares. My sentiment is heat embossed in the gold embossing powder and popped up on foam tape in the centre.
