The next stop on the hop is Erica! The full list can be found at the end of this post.

I created two cards for today’s hop. I wanted to create super clean and simple rainbow themed cards, with some of the gorgeous colors of embossing powder that WOW! makes. The stamp set I’m using in both of my cards is by Hunkydory Crafts For the Love of Stamps – Coffee Time.

I decided for the first card to do some repeat stamping. I drew a very faint pencil line horizontally along a panel of WOW! cardstock, and then stamped the tall slim glass coffee cup five times in WOW! Embossing ink, heat embossing as I went.

The colors I used from left to right (all by WOW!) are Bird of Paradise, Primary Lemon, Primary Chartreuse, Primary Blue Topaz and Primary Eggplant. Don’t they look amazing together! You’ll see I also grabbed a Copic in a similar shade and added a line of shadow down the left hand side of each cup.

I also stamped the spoon from the set in WOW! ink over one of the cups and sprinkled Metallic Platinum Superfine powder over the top. I gently brushed away some of the spoon outline to make it look like it was in the coffee foam, before then heat embossing it.

I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink directly onto the panel and then overlapped it with the coffee ring stamp from the set, stamped in Over Coffee ink (of course!) by Catherine Pooler Designs. As a finishing touch I scattered some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins.

For my second card, I stamped the main cup image (and added the handle) and heat embossed it in WOW! Metallic Platinum Super fine powder. I then colored it with Copics in rainbow stripes, with a little grey Copic down the edge and underneath for shading.

I stamped the main sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then embellished the image with the coffee steam and coffee beans stamped in Over Coffee ink. Once again I sprinkled a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins.

So what do you think? Definitely a little different for where I thought I’d go with a coffee card – I just love those primary rainbow colors for repeat stamping!
