Hi Everyone!

It is Topflight Stamps 2nd birthday and we are celebrating with a hop!  You should have arrived here from the amazing Sandy Allnock’s blog.   The full list of stops is at the end of this post.

I was lucky enough to be offered a spot on the Design Team at the end of 2017, and I’ve had such an amazing time.  It has been wonderful to see Topflight grow, Donna the owner is fabulous, and it brings me great joy to join the hop with some absolutely wonderful crafters – and of course – PRIZES!  Please hop along with us all and show all of the crafters some love!

Discount alert! Topflight Stamps is having a 2nd anniversary sale, with 20% off all orders over $20, placed between now and Sunday 31 March Midnight EST. Use code SAVE20.

To create my card, I used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Chai Latte on a panel of white cardstock, using the Penelope Dee Deco Floral Stencil. I decided to make it ‘shabby chic’ (inspired by the color) and only added paste roughly, in the centre of the panel.

On piece of watercolor cardstock, I stamped the rose image from the Penelope Dee You Are Amazing stamp set in embossing ink, and then heat embossed it in WOW! Oyster Glintz embossing powder.

I watercolored the rose using Paperartsy Infusions in Raspberry. I tapped a little bit of the powder out onto my craft mat and used a waterbrush to pick it up. I then did the same the leaves using The Sage Infusions. I then fussy cut it all out, trimming off the stem and leaves.

I popped the rose and leaves up on foam tape on the panel and mounted it onto a white card base. To finish, I stamped the sentiment from the set in black ink and scattered some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold sequins.

So now onto the prizes!

Topflight Stamps is giving one lucky winner a $50 Gift Certificate, and each stop on the hop has an additional $15 Gift Certificate up for grabs.  To be in with a chance to win, make sure to visit every stop on the hop and leave a comment by April 8th.

Winners will be announced on the Topflight Stamps blog on April 9th. Good Luck!

The full hop list is below, and your next stop is my good friend Justine Hovey, a wonderful crafter and huge inspiration to me! Enjoy the hop!

  1. I’d not heard of the infusions. Might have to get some to try. Your cards are stunning and elegant. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I never thought to use the Paperartsy Infusions as a paint to watercolor with, but after seeing your results, I would definitely give it a try. I learned something new, thank you!

  3. Love the rose and background makes for a interesting card . Popping up the rose makes you see both items on this card .The rose would be gone if in the same dimension as the scroll . Another lesson learned by me make it noticed. TFS .

  4. Interesting card but I am sure it is even more beautiful in person – love the design
    thanks for the demo

  5. Gorgeous card! I might have to look into that Oyster colored embossing powder. And definitely the infusions! Love this!

  6. Can you imagine how beautiful that flower would be if it were made into a pin to wear on your lapel? I use my rubber stamps for other things besides card making. Since I work with fabric all the time, I’m trying to put my love of crafting with my love of sewing. Embossing fabric is amazing.

  7. I like how you layered the rose on top. Looking forward to seeing more of your blog, as I have been here before, but no time to look around.

  8. Pretty card I’d love to see it in person. It may be my screen settings but I have a hard time seeing the pale pink settings on your site. My old eyes need a bright screen and it washes out light print. That’s just an FYI Your technique was well worth the strain. LOL

  9. What a beautiful combination of colors, layout and choice of medium! I will try to copy this at my earliest convenience!

  10. Okay, stop the presses because let’s just take a minute to appreciate the fact that the card you made was actually more girly and feminine than mine! LOL! I love it!!

  11. Jenny, while your card does have that touch of shabby chic in the background, it also has a very elegant look to it. Just Lovely! I’m new to Top Flight Stamps & I’ve not heard of a couple of the Stamp companies that have been mentioned. At the end of this hop I’m coming back to Top Flight & am going to take a long look. I wish the CDN$ wasn’t so low as that means the exchange rate, not to mention the shippings cost, is high, so that puts such a crimp in what I can order. But, if I don’t look, I won’t know. Thanks for participating in this hop & the inspir-ation you’ve provided. Love the colour of the Wow embossing powder.

  12. What a gorgeous card. I’m amazed at how well the oyster glintz powder and the chai latte mousse work together. That’s a fantastic combo. And with the added pop of that pink, this card is so stunning. Thanks for sharing!

  13. I really like the composition of your card. The mousse background creates such an interesting texture. The pink gives a beautiful pop of color.
