Hi everyone,

I’m zooming by with a really quick and easy card using heat embossing.  I created this using some gorgeous stamps that my wonderful crafty friend Shona sent to me as a little surprise, all the way from Oz.  Isn’t she so sweet!!   They’re super pretty flowers and I really wanted to use heat embossing to show how intricate they are.

I used a panel of dark grey cardstock trimmed to 4.25″ by 5.5″.  I coated it in my anti-static powder tool to ensure that the embossing powder only sticks where I want it.  Using my MISTI, I stamped the two large (peony?) images all over the cardstock in Versamark ink.  Using my MISTI enabled me to position them just right, and stamp twice to get a good impression. I then coated the stamped images in Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder and heat set it.  I then took one of the smaller bud images and an acrylic block and stamped it in all of the gaps to create an overall background pattern.  I heat embossed it in the same way.

I then stamped the ‘celebrate’ sentiment from the Altenew Super Script stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink, again using my MISTI.  I stamped it three times to get a really solid impression on Neenah Solar White 85lb cardstock. I then die cut it out with the co-ordinating die.

I adhered the word with foam squares to the centre of my card.  I then adhered the entire panel to a cardbase made from the same grey cardstock using glue runner. As a finishing touch I added a selection of black enamel dots from my stash.

And that’s it! Super simple and quick but classy and effective!
