Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that there is still time to play along over at Time Out Challenges.  It is our Home Sweet Home week and we have a great inspiration photo for you to play along with.  We are sponsored by Stamplorations who are giving $15 to spend in their store to the lucky winner.  We are joined this week by a Guest Designer, the wonderful Trinia who has created a fab card to inspire you all!

For my card this week I decided to break out the Tim Holtz Air Travel stamp set that has a great world map on it, inspired by the background in the photo.  I heat embossed it with Wow embossing powder in  Metallic Brass onto Neenah Solar White 100lb cardstock. I then blended Distress Oxide inks in Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Faded Jeans and Worn Lipstick over the top to mimic the colours in  the picture.

I spritzed the background with water to create the oxidation look and then heat set. I trimmed the piece down to fit a 4 bar card, and mounted it using double sided tape to a 4bar size card base of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.

For the sentiment I used a scrap of Navy cardstock and heat embossed a sentiment by The Ton Stamps from their Floral World stamp set using Antique Gold embossing powder by Simon Says Stamp.  I used foam tape to pop up the sentiment.  As a final touch, I spritzed shimmer spray over the whole thing for a subtle shimmer. You can see it a little in the above photo over the sentiment.

The photo inspiration is below, we do hope you’ll play along!!
