Hi everyone

Just a reminder that there is still time to play along with us at Time Out Challenge where we are CASE-ing the most awesome Hannelie.   Her card is so inspirational and unique. We are also joined this week by Guest Designer Susanne who has created a stunning card for the challenge. Make sure you check them out, and the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.  There is $15 to win courtesy of our kind sponsors Happy Little Stampers.

For my card, I wanted to stay true to the colours in the background of Hannelie’s card.  I used the Simon Says Stamp Circle of Leaves die and cut it out of some scrap card stock.  I then used the negative as a stencil to create the image onto a Bristol Smooth card panel by blending Distress ink in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber (I don’t have Mustard Seed ink!! How is this possible!!!)

The stencil did shift a little even though it was taped, but it seemed to give the image a somewhat misty look which i really liked.    I then ran the panel through the Big Shot in a Wavy WRMK Next Level embossing folder, to give it some texture.  I adhered the panel to a Neenah Solar White 110lb card base. For the sentiment I used the AMAZING CZ Designs Simple Sentiments set – it has some amazing unique sentiments in there I’ve not seen anywhere else.  I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder. I then trimmed it out and adhered it to the front of the panel with foam tape. To finish I added a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Sparkling Clear.   The card I was CASEing is here:

That’s it! I hope you enjoyed it – super simple and super CAS for me!  Be sure to join in the fun.
