Hi Everyone
Exciting news – Power Poppy have a new digi stamp out and it’s sooooo pretty.  I’ve loved Power Poppy for so long now as many of you who follow my blog will know.  I’ve always been more of a stamper than a digi user but the digis Power Poppy bring out are so pretty you just have to dive in. This one is no exception.  It is called Sweet Pea Show and is available now at the Power Poppy store.  Marcella was kind enough to send me it ahead of time so I can show you guys how versatile it is!
For my first card I printed out the digi in pale grey and printed it out on Arches Cold Press watercolour card stock.

I used a number 2 round brush and watercoloured the image using Daniel Smith Fine watercolours (Primatek Rhodonite, Quinacridone Coral, Sap Green and Sepia).

Once dry, I die cut using a stitched rectangle die and adhered to a Neenah Desert Storm card base using double sided tape and a layer of fun foam for dimension.

The sentiment (and others) is also included in the digi.  I printed it out on Desert Storm and using my Minc I foiled it using Rose Gold foil (make sure to use a laser printer if you plan to do this).  I then die cut it again with a stitched rectangle and adhered with foam tape.

As a finishing touch I added some sequins.  Isn’t it pretty!!

For my second card I printed the image again in full black on Bristol Smooth cardstock and watercoloured it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.   I created a gate fold card from Neenah Solar White and die cut a stitched circle in the front. I adhered the image inside so it peeks through the window.

In order to ensure the recipient could still open the card I adhered the white heat embossed sentiment (from Power Poppy’s Dynamic Duos Peonies and Tulips) on the left edge with glue runner, and the right side with velcro.  I then tied some Doodlebug twine at the top which can be slid off.

I then scattered some sequins.

There are so many other ways you can use the digis (foil the whole image, keep it monochrome, coloured pencils…).  Make sure you pop on over to Power Poppy for more ideas !

Have a wonderful day!

Jenny
