Hi everyone!

Somehow I found some time for crafting this weekend and decided to play along with the Flower Challenge – this week it to use an older stamp or die.  Great opportunity to dig through my stash!  I dug out the gorgeous MFT Etched Flower background which, despite buying months ago, I’ve never used.

I cut two pieces of black Bazzill cardstock to cover a standard A2 card base (4.25 x 5.5) and added plenty of powder tool.  I then stamped the image with Versamark ink and added embossing powder.  For the first card, I used The Ton’s gorgeous Rose Gold.  For the second card I used Rainbow Sparkle (from a Simon card kit).

I then die cut two circles from the MFT Stitched Line circles, one from silver foil card stock and one from gold foil cardstock.  I then cut another 10 from the Bazzill black cardstock and adhered 5 together and placed the foil circle on top.  I then adhered to each card using Zig two way glue pen.

I then die cut the circle one more time from 40lb vellum and heat embossed sentiments by The Ton (Bokeh Burst) and Power Poppy (Good Thinking Renewal) and heat embossed them in Wow Bright White super fine embossing powder.  I added small spots of multi medium matte behind the embossed words and adhered them inside the circles.

To finish the cards I added some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear and rose gold sequins.  If I did these cards again I would have added the vellum behind the frames before adhering, and then i wouldn’t have had to hide the glue behind the words which did show a little after drying 🙁

Link to the challenge is below.  It is a very cool new challenge and I strongly encourage everyone to keep it on their regular challenges list !!

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!!
