Exciting news everybody! I’ve officially joined the wonder Design Team over at Time Out Challenges – squuuueeeee!!! This is my first post and this week we are CASEing the wonderful Ardyth.  She’s awesome and I strongly recommend you check out her blog MASKerade.  Wonderful inspiration.
So for my card I wanted to capture the essence of the layout, color and theme of Ardyth’s card, so I went with the black gold and red with flowers.  It gave me an excuse to do some watercoloring too!
For my card, I stamped some blooms from Concord and 9th’s  Wildflower  (using Inkadinkdoo masking paper and my MISTI) as well as some of the leaves.  I stamped them using Versafine Onyx Black ink which is waterproof.  I then watercolored them using a mix of Distress inks in reds and orangey tones. For the leaves I used green shades.  Play around!!

When the watercolor was dry I also splattered some Heidi Swapp colour shine mist in gold. FOr the sentiment I diecut the Altenew Thanks die from black cardstock and fun foam for dimension and adhered it using Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

I then mounted the piece onto a small strip of gold glitter card along the bottom and as a base I used Simon Says Stamp’s black card stock.

Fabulous inspiration (see below for the image) and we do hope you’ll join in with the challenge this week!!!   Make sure you check out the other DT team’s cards for inspiration as well!

Have a wonderful day and make sure you take some time out!!
