Hi everyone,

Popping by for a quick post showing a watercolor scene I made with Altenew’s Garden Grow set which I am entering into the Happy Little Stampers DT call (I think this is my last one!).  This was the first time I stamped a scene using masking and it is so fun!

I stamped all of the images using Versafine Onyx Black Ink and my MISTI to get the positioning just right.  I used Arches cold press paper.  As the vase of flowers and the fallen pot are at the front I stamped those first (I used the bench stamp to gauge where to stamp them – with the MISTI this is sooooo easy).  I then masked these off using Inkadinkado masking paper, and stamped the bench and the butterfly.

I watercolored them using a Pentel Aquash brush and Sakura Koi watercolors and also a touch of gold on the vase, flowers and butterfly using my Finetec Mica watercolors.  The sentiment is from The Ton Stamps Basic Labels, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, and popped up on foam tape.  I added a scattering of sparkling clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins (4mm) and popped the panel up on a Neenah Desert Storm card base, with approx 1/4# trimmed from each side to show the card base color.

That’s it!  Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!

Jenny
