Hi Everyone!

I’m popping by with a card I made for the Inkspirational Challenge which this week is featuring Primary Colors.  For my card I wanted to keep things crisp and monochromatic, using only one color like Pia’s in the DT inspiration.

I used The Ton’s Always Cherry Blossoms main image and stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink on Neenah Solar White 80lb.  While that was drying, I created a light wash of color using water and Distress Inks in Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Barn Door  on Tim Holtz watercolor paper.  I allowed it to air dry then die cut the Altenew Thanks die out of it, and some white fun foam to give the sentiment some dimension.

I also used Glimmer Angels mist in clear over the sentiment. I then adhered it to the card panel which was then also popped up on fun foam to a Neenah Solar white 110lb card base. As a finishing touch I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in sparkling clear.

I hope you enjoyed the card – Ruby (my daughter) and I are off to the Gymboree for her first ever birthday party! So excited 😀

  1. Jenny you are on a roll and a wonderful creative frenzy! This is jaw-droppingly, eye-poppingly fabulous! Such elegant and crisp stamping then wow topped with the bold and vibrant word sentiment! Love how you've used the primary colour but in a muted way and kept with an elegant font too! So classy and sophisticated! Sarah x
