Hi everyone,

As I was getting so into my ink blending I wanted to pull another card together for a challenge.   I saw the Time Out Challenge were doing an ‘Inspired By Words’ week, and the words were lovely:

“Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine”
Anthony J. D’Angelo

I thought ink blending + sunshine = sunset 🙂

Here’s my card:

On a piece of Bristol Smooth (Julie’s Bristol from Ellen Hutson), I blended, from the bottom up, Duckling, Rosie Cheeks and Sunkist from Simon Says Stamp, and then Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks.  I then die cut with a Stitched Oval by Simon Says Stamp.

I splattered Tattered Angels clear shimmer spray, white acrylic paint and water to make stars (using a paintbrush and tapping gently).  When it was completely dry I added my sentiment from a set by Power Poppy (it’s from Harper Lee – To Kill a Mockingbird) embossed in Antique Gold (because it’s such a lovely warm sunny tone of gold) by Simon Says Stamp.

To finish, I added a few drops of glossy accents, and mounted on a Stone grey card base from Simon Says Stamp.

It makes me feel really chilled and happy when I look at it – I hope it does the same for you!!

Jenny
