Hi Everyone!

We have a new challenge up at the AAA Cards Challenge!  This week the theme is Stitching – add any sort of stitching to your card (it could eveb be die-cut or drawn on if you don’t have access to a sewing machine or hand stitcher).  This week’s sponsors are Uniko and there is a 10 GBP voucher up for grabs to the winner!

For my card, I went with the hand drawn stitching look.  I used the Hand Stitched stamp set by Neat and Tangled to emboss the image in Hero Arts white embossing powder in the center of some Ellen Hutson Bristol Smooth card stock.

I’m still on an ink blending kick since I discovered it is so much easier on the Bristol Smooth, so I blended some Simon Says Stamp inks in Rosie Cheeks, Duckling and Apricot over the image and added white stitched lines with a Signo Broad white gel pen.

I white embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set onto some scrap white card stock and blended Rosie Cheeks all over it so it was darker.  I then trimmed it out and popped it up on foam squares.  Simple!

We do hope you’ll join us this week at AAA Cards.  Just click the image below, and check out the other DT cards for inspiration.   Don’t forget to keep your cards CAS!

Have a wonderful week!

Jenny

  1. Hi Jenny! Well this is surely wonderful. I LOVE the blending kick you are on… these colors are fantastic and make for a soft, sweet creation. Love the the entire image is white embossed. Looks fabulous. I am curious as to what kind of paper you are comparing the Bristol Smooth to… I have about a ton of Neenah Solar White. Hate to buy more paper but if it makes blending easier, I amy just spring for it…

  2. I'm back … MIA for a couple of weeks so delay in comments but couldn't resist popping across for a better look at this blended beauty! WOW, WOW! What beauiful colour combo, gorgeous embossing and I am swooning for sure. Love it! Sarah x
