Hi Everyone!!

This week at AAA Cards Challenge we have an ‘Anything Goes’ theme sponsored by Happy Little Stampers.  There is a $20 up for grabs to the winner to spend at their store.

My card this week uses Altenew’s Peony Bouquet – a wonderful layering stamp set.  I used Hero Arts Shadow inks in Ultrapink, Bubblegum and Soft Pink (and my MISTI) to stamp the largest flower on 110b Neenah Solar White cardstock.  I then masked it off and used the splatters from My Favorite Things Distressed Patterns to surround the stamp with splats, stamped in Delicata Golden Glitz. Unfortunately my masking paper (actually card with temporary adhesive) was too thick resulting in a white halo around the image. Next time use masking paper Jenny !!

Finally I finished off the card with a sentiment from Altenew’s Birthday Greetings, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink, and a few gold sequins from Lucy’s Little Things.  Finally I used my clear Wink of Stella to give the flower some shimmer.

We do hope you’ll join in the fun over at the AAA Cards Challenge blog, don’t forget $20 to win!!

  Until next time,

Jenny

  1. No this is just down-right teasing!!! You and Coralynn using this awesome Altenew set right in front of me when it's been out of stock for ever over here!!! On my wish list though and love seeing both versions on the DT blog! Superb showcase … it rocks! Sarah x

  2. So pretty Jenny – those gold splatters are perfect and I really like the halo around the flower! Echoing Sarah -I can't wait to get my hands on that Altenew set as well!

  3. Hi Jenny. Finally getting over to comment (thanks a gazillion for all your wonderful comments on my creations!) This card is GORGEOUS!! I love the juxtaposition of the elegant flower and the grungy splotches. I too think that halo looks like it was on purpose, and fabulous at that. I went right to MFT and Simon to buy the distress set, and it's out of stock on both!!!

  4. A beautiful card Jenny, a lovely design with super colours, beautiful background colouring with the gorgeous rose and super details!!

    hugs
