Hi everyone, happy weekend!!
Time is flying by so fast this year, I can’t believe we are a week into August already. This weekend I’m putting up stars on the wall in the nursery.  Somewhat daunting with 100+ vinyl silver stars and a big blank wall.  Like starting a new card 🙂
Today I have a card using mostly Papertrey Ink goodies.  I have had the Hands of Time stamp set for a loooong time but haven’t gotten round to using it.  Well, my husband had some good news at work yesterday so I wanted to give him a surprise card to celebrate.

The card base is made from PTI Soft Stone cardstock 11″ x 4.25″,  scored at 5.5″ for a top folding card.  It’s hard to tell from the picture but it is a very soft grey color. PTI cardstock is wonderful – 110lb thickness, so very sturdy for bases, and particularly good for one layer cards like this due to the wide variety of colors it comes in.

I stamped the clock face in Aqua Mist dye ink from PTI.  They make such beautiful colors of ink – I heard recently that they’d been struggling with their supply due to the unique shape of their ink pads, so they’ve switched to a more standard shape to replenish and will soon be coming out with new colors. WOOHOO!
The numbers in the clock face are actually a separate stamp – I used my Martha footed stamp press to line them up and stamped in Versamark.  I then embossed them in Ranger Super Fine Gold embossing powder.
The hands of the clock are both separate so you can stamp whatever ‘time’ you want on the clock face.  I stamped them in Versafine Onyx Black which is super crisp.  I then used my MISTI to perfectly line up the sentiment.  On one layer,  clean & simple cards, mis-alignments can ruin a card.   The stamp set has many different sentiment combos.  I chose ‘This is the’ in Versafine Onyx Black, ‘Time’ in PTI Winter Wisteria and ‘Celebrate’ was embossed in the gold powder again. I love the versatility of being able to mix and match.

As the finishing touch, I added some sequins and seed beads from Lucy’s Cards Little Things ‘Phosphorescence’ mix.  Lucy’s mixes are so beautiful – they have many different shapes and sizes of sequins in them (flat and cupped) as well as teeny tiny seed beads.  For the clock face centre I added a small pearl from my stash.
I’m entering this card into the CAS(e) This Sketch challenge #135. Hope you enjoyed!  I’ll be back very soon with another 🙂  Additional supplies I used are linked below (where available at Simon Says Stamp).
