Morning everyone!
Spring has finally arrived I am happy to report 🙂 The mounds of snow concrete are finally melting, the sun is shining, and I have dispensed with the gloves and hat. At long last no more hat hair at work!
The new AAA Cards Challenge is up, and it’s a great one to get your creative design juices flowing. Bare Naked CAS Design – a super clean and simple card, with lots of white space. I decided to take this literally, and here’s what I came up with:
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp’s Many Thanks stamp set. I thought it would be quite funny with the empty speech bubbles!! I used Versafine in Onyx Black to stamp it. (In hindsight it was awkward to stamp in the location i chose. I should have stamped it first then stuck down the speech bubbles!)
The heart was an afterthought (to cover a bit of ink smudge from the sentiment) cut from a scrap of red card stock using the same Bubble Talk PTI die set. It adds a great pop of color that I think perfectly completed the card.
I was itching to add some glossy accents or some other embellishment to the heart but given the theme of the game i thought no, less is more!
I’m also entering this into the Addicted to Stamps challenge ‘ Anything Goes’ and the Time Out challenge #27 ‘Clean and Simple’.
